Bob Wyant

14/01/1930   -   18/01/2009

Sadly Bob Wyant passed away on 18th January

Bob was a versatile and yet complex character whose life had many facets. He was never noted as a person who did not suffer fools gladly. He was a very proud man in all he did, not only in his work but also in his leisure activities, of which there were several; he loved fishing, snooker and bridge.

Bob and his wife Pam lived in France for a while, coming to stay in Los Gallardos every winter in their camper van, however when Bob's cancer returned they made the decision to move to Los Gallardos permanently.

You will be greatly missed

Rest in peace Bob
In life you were very much loved and respected by all  and henceforth, in memory, it shall always remain so
From Kay:

I know we sometimes had our up’s and downs, but you will always have a special place in my heart. I have some great memories that I will always treasure. I remember when I used to wear your long johns to go out on the town as my dress sense was quite unusual; you would just smile and let me get on with it. Also, when I was going to my first ball, you taught me how to waltz and quickstep and did not mind that I kept stepping on your toes.

I am so glad that you can now rest and are no longer in pain.

 Rest in peace Bob

love always

From Barry and Steph Green

We also have very fond memories of Bob. We have been friends of Pam and Bob for  25 years and we had a lot of  fun together. In particular we remember an amazing cake-cutting ceremony only recently recreated at Los Gallardos. He could always see the funny side of life.

We remember Bob's bacon sandwiches at La Mayennerie and a lovely lunch there in the October sunshine when we were buying the place and they were our first visitors.

Bob was also a very kind man and enjoyed using his skills when he could to help out. Steph is very thankful that Bob taught her how to repoint stone walls, something that has come in very handy! He also very kindly rebuilt a garden wall for us.

We are going to miss him and he will always be in our hearts because of the lovely memories.
