M.A.C.S day at Cabrera bowls club

On Thursday the 8th of December the Cabrera bowls club in
Turre gave up their normal club morning to invite players
from the other local bowls clubs to take part in a fundraising
event for M.A.C.S (Mojacar area cancer support).

The competition played over Four games of five ends was
attended by 60 bowlers divided into presidents and captains
teams , with the presidents team winning with a shot
difference of only three points.

There was also a raffle with prizes kindly donated by local
businesses and a spider one bowl shoot out, the whole day
was enjoyed by all and by the end of the day they had raised
a fantastic total of €431.00.

M.A.C.S would like to thank everyone that took part and the
organisers at Cabrera Bowls Club for their generosity and
hope that we will be able to arrange further competitions
next year.
