My name is Marguerite
and I am an Interpreter for MACS. I have been collaborating with
the society since the beginning of 2008 and hope to be able to
offer my services for many years to come.
I have lived in Mojacar for 23 years. I
have my own adopted Spanish family, which comprises of 4
generations now and my own family whose members are of the
four-legged variety.
I have a small farm situated between
Mojacar and Turre which I share with my two horses, 4 dogs, one
PAWS foster dog and a very independent Siamese cat. Long
gone are the chickens; pheasants; various exotic aviary birds;
the tortoise breeding plan; the alfalfa fields and the
vegetable patch but peace and tranquility reign over this small
corner of paradise I call home.
Before coming to Spain in 1985, I worked
for 10 years as Personal Secretary to a family of Ophthalmic
Opticians. I also volunteered as a Home Assistant for
Social Services in the county of Kent where I lived.
My work for MACS is interesting; varied and most of all
rewarding; and it is a good lesson in humanity.
